Angela here just messaged me to ask if I was mad at her. I'm not, but she's in Newfoundland, Canada, and I'm in Changwon, Korea, and our schedules are so out of synch that it's silly. And I've worked about 12 hours a day (counting business socializing) including Saturday, so I've been able to knock out the occasional post here, but haven't done much else.

This picture is out of focus - see how well you can do with a Pentax 6x7 manual camera one-handed in low light, shooting through a mirror. While trying to avoid looking too fat. And otherwise weird. Angela, of course, always looks perfect because she ... uh ... always looks perfect. Anyway, lost shadow detail, nothing in focus and motion blur, but sly old me feeling up a gorgeous babe. That makes this a trophy picture, something I often do, with better or worse results. And while my kids may be appalled by them, my grandkids will think old granddad was some kinda swinger back in the olden days.

So "sly old me" this one sheds a whole new light (no pun intended) on nude photography, I'm printing business cards as I write. Or, does this narrow the field of models? You seem to enjoy your work more than you let on! but how does this work?

Well, I suppose this narrows down the field some. Not all my models get groped and not all are interested in letting me make "trophy pictures" of any sort. Both come under the heading of "fooling around," usually after we've had a good shoot in the can and are really just talking and relaxing.

Models who see these could easily and justifiably decide not to work with me, but those are the models I'm not very interested in working with anyway. I want to photograph women who are comfortable with their sexuality and their bodies and ultimately comfortable working with me as I am. I am a gentleman, but I'm also a lecher and a teacher and an artist and a prankster and a biker and so on. What I am not is "prissy," "a nice guy," "neutered," "assexual," or only interested in "the topography and texture of the feminine human form" (or other lies of that nature).

So this picture and even my regular sexual stuff helps to filter out the models who don't really want to work with me and the ones I really don't want to work with.

Angela and I had fun working and playing, including me feeling her up for this picture (though you do have to admit that this form of "feeling up" is pretty lame - I just couldn't do everything all at the same time).

There's more to life than being "proper."
